We do this in order not to have to explain
much, when the leaf beetle Lachnaea sexpuntata
places her dark, longish eggs exposedly at the end of a stem. Beside, the female has not folded her wings properly - which is why a little part sticks out between her elytra. But during a business as important as laying eggs this is alright. |
