After feeding sufficiently, the
braconid larva breaks through the cuticle and leaves the body of the ladybird,
that dies shortly afterwards, with the interior of the hind part of its body
completely eaten up.
The braconid larva remains in its place and makes a cocoon under the dead body of the ladybird. From it, this elegant insect may hatch - if it is lucky enough to finish its development. This may not be the case, and things may take a completely different way...
