The leaf roll continues to
wilt and changes its color. In it a tiny larva hatches from the egg,
that feeds on the leaf that it lives in. During the summer, it
grows.
Although José regularly found several eggs in a leaf roll, he never found more than a single larva. We do not know what happens to the other eggs. They may serve as food to the larva surviving, or they may probably just rot. |
